For our 30th wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to go to Mardi Gras and we chose the Royal Sonesta as our destination for the week. It was also our first trip to NOLA and it wlll definitely not be our last as long as we can stay again at the Sonesta. It was so warm and friendly and there was not enough that the staff could do for you. Our room was large and airy, the bed and pillows like sleeping on clouds. Irvin Mayfield's club was a wonderful way to spend an evening and we even were fortunate enough to see Irvin and his band play. It was pure magic and we would not think of staying anywhere else in the French Quarter! We give it 5 out of 5 stars!
