We stayed in New Orleans for 6 days in the beginning of Oct., 2009. This was one of the most wonderful home away from home experiences we have ever had. Everyone at the Royal Sonesta treated us as if we had visited with them a dozen times, with all the warmth & hospitality one could imagine. The highlight of our visit was finding out that Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse is also located at the hotel! Every night after dinner, it was our treat to be able to sit in the comfort of their newly remodeled lounge, sip fabulous cocktails, & listen to Irvin Mayfiled & friend's world class music. What a delight! Thank you to everyone at the Royal Sonesta for a fantastic time we will never forget.
